I got to Young Avengers over the weekend. Good stuff. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of these guys end up joining the ranks of Young Avengers, full time.

The whole Supervillain as art concept is quite amusing, and quite disturbing at the same time.

I'm sure the Harry Hill's TV Burp moment will go over a few American reader's heads, but it made me chuckle.

In other related news, after missing out on snatching the last copy of the 'Hell Comes to Birmingham' trade in Coventry FP (Literally by seconds) I ended up ordering a copy off Amazon.

It still hasn't shipped. I mailed them to ask why, and this is what they told me:

"Dear Mr M A Roberts,

Thank you for contacting us at Amazon.co.uk.

Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience, but "Captain Britain And MI13 Volume 2: Hell Comes To Birmingham TPB" appears to have been a surprise sellout.

When you placed your order [# BLANKED OUT], we believed we had access to more copies - we then discovered that every one of our distributors had rapidly sold out.

Major distributors have thousands of copies on order from the publisher, all
apparently awaiting the next print run. As soon as more copies become available,we'll be able to dispatch them to our customers.

We will update you once we have received an estimated arrival date from the vendor."

A bit of a bugger for me, but it's pleasing to see that a few more people have been able to appreciate it. This can only be a good thing.

I did not see the dream room twist coming. As someone who usually sees these things a mile off....I salute you Mr.Cornell. Very nice issue, glad the fight back has begun. "Penny drops" was an excellent scene.

Was that actually Doom at the end of the issue? His little scene made me think it was someone masquerading as him to Dracula. Hmm.

I'm about a month behind most people in my comic reading as I get my monthly pile delivered by mail order, living, as I do, 80 miles from my nearest comic shop. So I'm a little bit behind the curve on where the story is at the moment. But, I just read on CSBG that you have used Killpower in the final issue of Captain Britain. It's a long, long time since any snippet of comic information made this middle-aged man feel so much like a gushing fanboy again! So thank you for that, and that you for the fantastic series. It's been one of my favourites since it's inception. Now....any chance of giving a few other Marvel UK stalwarts a cameo or two.....Dragon's Claws....the original green-bodied Death's Head....the Warheads!!! (The Sleaze Bros.)!!!
Anyway...thanks for the great writing.

Not got to Young Avengers in my stack yet (Some rubbish about a mortgage application needing to be more important than reading comics, apparently...) but I read Cap #14 last night.

Damn! I honestly didn't see that twist coming. But the set up was there to see. Very clever. And yes, a preview would have totally spoiled that.

Fantastic to see Julius again. There's a guy who's spent far too long in Limbo.

I can't wait for the conclusion (Sad though it will be that it IS the conclusion).

Loving Cap Better than I hoped for. Bit of a cop out, but i will admit that I didn't see it coming. So I salute you sir, you had me intrigued for the full month. Had to rush out and get the next issue ASAP rather than wait till this coming weekend when I would be in the neighbourhood.

Hello Paul, enjoying what remains of MI:13 although I'm not as enthused about the cricket myself. I'm an aspiring writer myself and was curious if you'd mind if I picked your brain sometime? It'd be much appreciated. Hope the novel turns out to be a solid read. I have to say, while I'm not a huge fan of either, I'll agree that Little Boots is definitely one of the more polished and different acts out there. Paloma Faith seems to be another attempt at replacing Amy Winehouse while La Roux sounds dated despite being new. Don't suppose you've heard of Deadmou5e? Heard a track on the radio the other day, pretty good. Reminded me of Olive's "You're Not Alone" a bit.

OK, this is off-topic, but did you see last night's episode of 'Kingdom', Paul? It featured a bunch of people identified as Doctor Who fans who descend on Norfolk when an impressive crop circle is discovered in hopes of seeing a UFO. They camp out there, looking like hippies save for the 50% wearing monster masks, give the lead character magic mushrooms that cause him to 'trip' and are generally presented as the 'sci-fi loonies' of late '70s/early '80s newspaper reportage. I watched with my jaw in my lap.

All the Draw off submissions were class, Keiths was indeed amazing, Adam Murray's also rocked. As did David Marquez. I loved Jonny's Dracula as well.

With the end of MI13 in site , its mixed bag for me, cant wait to see the end of the arch, but I also dont want to see the end of this great run. fair play to all of the creative team behind this title
