My Novelette Online

Have moved! Popping in to Caroline's college to post this link! Loads to tell you! When I get broadband at home, I will!

But in the meantime, with the Hugo nomination deadline on Saturday, a bit urgent. 'One of Our Bastards is Missing', my second Jonathan Hamilton story, complete to read online, originally in The Solaris Book of New Science Fiction #3, for your consideration in the Novelette category, is here:

Oh, and Dark X-Men #5, the conclusion, is out now. Until broadband arrives to save me, Cheerio!

    Dear Mr. Cornell,

how are you surviving without internet? It's inhuman! I just wanted to let you know that I bought Dark X-men #5 and truly adored it. You've won me back! I'm aware that you may not have any details, but will these characters be popping up during the "Heroic Age" at all?

    Hi Paul,

Hope the moves gone or is going well.

Still working hard on this end. Just got myself a copy of 'Writing For Comics With Peter David'. Having only ever written a play years and years ago for theatre in education and only ever having done editorial stuff.

I figured I could use the extra help in developing some of my fictional worlds and characters. Of which I have loads. Some nice. Some not so nice.

Looking forward to Doctor Who and will definitely be doing something to celebrate the new show when it starts.

In the mean time. Take care.

    Ian

    Paul-

Very interesting story which I'll have to read again to fill in the blanks(though I kept picturing a young Queen Elizabeth II while reading it. Sorry:)

Glad to see your move went well, no doubt you'll still be unpacking for a bit and trying to locate items. Don't know how long I could be without broadband!

    I loved this mini-series.

The Mimic was written as a believable character - who can do anything except get his head together.

Yes, the ending was bitter. The heroes win and sometimes we wish they didn't.

I would love to see the Dark X-Men return with X-Man, because anything could happen.

Thanks again for the Mimic and the Dark X-Men.

    Morgan.

PS: Pick up Dark X-Men TPB next month!

Phew, back online! It was quite a trial, Anony! Thanks very much. And I don't know, sorry. Heather: don't know why you're apologising for that. Why not? Morgan: thanks. And I'll blog the trade when it's out. Cheers.
