You're gazumping Barack, today of all days? Tsk!
Doctor Doom and Dracula ... on the Moon!
:)
Absolute....oh my god...that is coooooool...
Ahem, I'll regain my stip upper lip...
Does this in any way have a connection to Morgan Le Fey's upcoming appearance in Dark Avengers???
Keep the shocks coming and I'll keep buying.
Darren Wilson
It really is a great poster, isn't it? I hope Marvel run it as an advert in a few of their other titles.
Very much looking forward to this arc.
Doctor Doom and Dracula, co-habiting on the moon. That's a summer event book!
I agree Sword Is Drawn, would love to see more exposure in other Marvel books, that artwork is too good to waste...Let them promote it New(castle) Avengers if they like as long as it gets people reading!
This series deserves to read by more people.
Darren
Looks excellent. Can't wait!
I just realized- is that a support of the Eagle lander? I'm pretty slow, but that is great.
Vampires and Latverians and the Moon . . . Oh My!
See I am going to ignore the pictures and just pretend that the text (Captain Britain) proclaims the new rulers ... I mean who wouldn't want to be ruled by him?! :o)
... and, on this point from an earlier post:
"In other news, Captain Britain: Secret Invasion, the collected issues 1-4, is now available in all good comic shops (and loads of bookshops) on this side of the pond..."
My copy arrived today - YAY!
I won't see it until I get home from work - BOO!
Really nice poster and looking forward to reading the interviews.
Is that David Cameron in the Doctor Doom armour?
Fitting, actually. Word on the street is that Obama is a big comic nerd. We're in good hands, I think. :)
Thanks, all. David: I thought he looked a little put out, like we'd irked him. Darren: no! But I'm glad she's about. PG: yes, that's the Eagle. Jay: hope you liked it. Mark: ah, but is it?
OK, so I read a handful of Marvel books all in one go this week, CBMI13 8 and 9, Infernus 1, and FF 562.
Doctor Doom, in FF threatens Reed with 'his master'. Dracula, on the moon, at the end of Cap 9, says 'get me Doom'. Also in those books there are teases about an upcoming Vampire war/battle. They just fought a Duke of Hell, but left Meggan behind.
Meanwhile, in X-Men Infernus 1, Belasco's daughter confronts a round table of various 'lords of hell' who suggest that should she best Magik, then she will have a place in their future 'larger plans'
Some one else on here has posted that Morgane Le Fay is heading towards the Avengers, Wanda is already back there.
Are we heading towards some HOOJ / linewide magical smackdown sometime in late spring?
Just when I thought Captain Britain COULDN'T get any better.
I discovered some Tomb of Dracula over the summer and fell in love with it. When I heard that the next arc of Captain Britain and MI:13 was going to involve him, my first thought was "I HOPE it's the Tomb of Dracula version of the character."
I've been a fan since hearing your first interview with iFanboy, and have been a regular reader since Captain Britain #2.
I salute you for bringing us such an awesome comic.
Sean: for me, it's all just part of fitting in with the wider Marvel universe. Jovial: thanks very much, I'm a huge Tomb fan too.
Doom.... servant of Dracula?
Dracula better know who he's dealing with, because I wouldn't trust Doom, even if I was an immortal Vampire with a secret base on the moon.
I have to say Paul, I've been a fan of your writing for ages, but MI:13 #9 you outdo yourself.
You have us barracking for Pete "Bloody" Wisdom, supporting him in an act which is, frankly, pretty morally repugnant (the final scene with Sid). Cheering on the franchises resident bastard.
And those couple of scenes with Meggan - heartbreaking.
That's just one of the best looking promo images I've ever seen.
