Doctor Who Wins Hugo Now On Video
The wonders of the modern world, eh? That's Jane Espenson, and the chap reading out Moffat's message is Craig Miller, who organised the convention's 1056 panels and events.

I'm now back at my desk, and wondering why I don't have a panel today. I tried to hold one on the aircraft. I've reorganised the page a bit in order to feature many more blogs and get rid of Last FM (whose box kept featuring the same afternoon's playlist). Much more Worldcon and holiday anecdotage at the weekend.

Wow, thanks for link. I'm glad you liked my clip.
By the way, did you fill Jane Espenson in on how to pronounce "Dalek?" :-)
Sorry, I really should have credited you on the post itself. Do you want me to do a quick edit? And no, she said she asked someone and that was the pronounciation she was given, but we haven't been able to find out who mis-advised her!
Sounds like it was a great weekend, congrats on the clean sweep :-D
Talking of pronounciations, how do you say Freema's surname? We've got no idea :-)
Nope, that's all right. I don't mind going uncredited.
The thing that struck me about Moffat's message was the part where he mentioned reading The Trouble With Tribbles over and over again. I did the same thing! It was my inspiration when I landed a gig writing for a children's cable series back in the 80s, and still inspires me now that I'm writing children's novels. Quite a coincidence.
Hi there, and congratulations! I had not realized when we were on the panel that you wrote "Dr. Who!" Many of my friends adore the show, and I have plans to watch it on DVD this weekend, in my hotel at AnimeFest in Texas. I am very much looking forward to it. (And then no more conventions for me till next year.)

Click on the "Project Blue Rose" sidebar for the art that I left in my car.
Sorry! That was me, Rachel Manija Brown.
I say 'Freh ma', but I really don't know, and I should. I'm sure it's online somewhere. I should really read this tribbles book. Hi, Rachel! I'll link to your journal if I may. Anyone in search of beautiful boys should really go and look at Project Blue Rose on Rachel's page. Bishonen!
Of course you may link to my journal (and website.) My LJ is here: http://rachelmanija.livejournal.com/
Another LJ-er, oracne, wrote in my LJ: "Tell Paul Cornell he rules. NO FUTURE is one of the coolest of the DW tie-in novels."
PS. My book is out in the UK too, but with a different cover. That's me as a six-year-old: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/034089881X/202-5553956-2267867?v=glance&n=266239
Tell Oracne that she's wrong about that, Rachel, but I appreciate the sentiment. That's serious lit fu you've got there!
Who is that who read Moffat's note?
As I say in the post, that's Craig Miller.
Gaagh. Sometimes all the neurons don't fire... sorry! Quite happy now that I posted my innocuous query anonymously!
Hmm, I wonder who you are!
Re: Freema's surname... until informed otherwise, I will quite happily pronounce it "Eggy-Man." But does that make David Tennant the Walrus... ?
(And I'm the easily embarassed, sometimes-doesn't-read-too-closely schmuck who posted anonymously - first out of laziness, then out of embarassment. A day later and I don't care so much anymore. Whee! "Mystery" solved.) :)
Phew. I'm sure it's not Eggyman. I wouldn't go for that in her company, anyway.
I suppose that's the one advantage of it being unlikely that I'll ever meet her. I can say her name however I want and go for fun instead of accuracy. :)
FREE MY EGGY MAN!
Okay, I'll go away now.
I'd like to see that on a t-shirt. Though after having seen it I'd deny all knowledge.
Oh dear. Oh, oh dear.
You really oughtn't to have said that.
You really, really oughtn't.
I don't know what you're talking about, and I never clicked on that link. Who are you, anyway? I've never seen you before in my life.
