Bernice Summerfield merchandise
The first batch of long-promised Benny merchandise is now available to buy online. Do go and have a look. Artists and copyright holders are all getting appropriate royalties. Any suggestions for what the second batch of merchandise, sometime towards the end of 2006, should include are very welcome. (And Simply Icons itself is a wonderful service if you yourself happen to have a character you want to merchandise, or a few t-shirts you want to print for a party.)

Who is Bernice Summerfield? Had a look at the web site thing still none the wiser.
She's a character of mine who started off as a companion in the Doctor Who books, and now has her own ongoing line of novels and audio dramas. She's been around for more than a decade now. Here's a Wiki entry on the subject...

The bib is inspired.
Bernice is the most successful companion to have been created after the original TV series stopped. She first featured in the excellent 'Love and War' wot Paul rote in the Virgin New adventures books where she helped the Doctor fight some large scary creatures. I re-read it recently, as it happens.
In fact one of my new year resolutions is to finish re-reading all the new advetures on my regualr train journeys between Didcot and Paddington.
PS - you can call me Liberal, Neil, or pretty much whatever you want, I don't offen easily;-)
Paul, pity you couldn't do the hipflasks after all, it would have been perfect! The beer mat is a nice touch though.
The hipflask isn't an option at present. Simon Guerrier has pointed out to me another beer-related Benny quote that would look good on a another tea towell, though, so that's one item for next time.
